Today was pretty laid back...we went to a big shopping mall and Kamano shop.  Then we all went to Sumo wrestling tournament.  It was fun for the first 20 minutes then we just got bored and left and went back to the hotel, took a shower and went out to the bar and just hung out with each other around the 7eleven.  Pretty laid back kinda of a day.  Tomorrow should be fun

5-25-09

So today i woke up at 4 AM had to carry Jennas bag to the subway....oh about a mile away because her wheels broke on her bag so i told her id carry it to be nice.  We got on the subway to catch the Narita Express train to the airport.  It lasted about 2 hours and we arrived at Narita and had about 2 hours till our flight home to dallas, and we just hung out and slept a little.  We flew from Tokyo to DFW, then from DFW to Charlotte and just like that we were home and it was over....it really flew by it was defiantly one of the best times of my life im so happy i went on this trip.  I met a lot of great people and will always remember Taiwan and Tokyo

So today i woke up at 1 in the afternoon and it was optional to go to this condo in downtown Tokyo to listen to Navin Gupta from HSBC.  He talked about the financial crisis and what his advice was for us.  His condo is amazing and the view was incredible.  The talk lasted a while and after we went to eat some dinner.  We ate at this restaurant where we cooked our own food right in front of us it was pretty cool.  After dinner we went back and just packed all day because we had to wake up at 4 to catch the train to Narita Airport.  Good day!

5-23-09

So today was saturday and it was our free day.  A group of us went to the Tokyo Dome.  It is an amusement park in the middle of Tokyo.  This roller coster we went on was on top of buildings and actually went threw the building.  It was amazing to see and to ride.  We were at the amusement park till about 4 and then we ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company.  It was amazing, i got cajun shrimp.  After that we went to this club called Womb.  Its capacity was 4,000 people and it was 4 stories.  It was nuts.  Jenna and I left around 130 and a bunch of people stayed till 4 AM.  We got dropped off at the 7eleven by our hotel and got something to eat and a little bit more to drink.  Today was real fun.

5-21-09

Today we had 2 company visit and it was a very informing day.  We woke up early and had to be at Harley Davidson Japan and that meeting lasted about and hour and a half and we left for the subway and had to be at Sony by 2.  We found a Dean and Deluca before we went into Sony so we had time to eat some lunch.  Sony was amazing.  We saw and touched the Spider-man suit, Da Vinci  Code props, and Hancock's shoes, shirt, necklace, and hat.  It was amazing.  The coolest thing of this trip was by far seeing the exact camera George Lucus used to film Star wars episodes 2 and 3.  I couldn't believe what i was seeing, it was awesome.  

5-20-09

Today was a pretty slack day.  We had to meet at the college at 210 and before that we all had free time.  SO about 6 of us went shopping in Shinguku and on our way to meet the rest of the group we got lost on the subway.  So we pretty much had a free day.  We went to this Irish Pub to kill time before meeting the other for diner.  So it was defiantly happy hour so we were there from 4-7 and it might have been one of my favorite times of the whole trip.  I loved this day

Today i woke up and we arrived at the college for more calligraphy classes and we saw how the girls do Japanese Tea party...kinda boring but we had to do it so.  Then Dr.Fox went over a business survey type thing for about 2 hours and from there we went to Ernst Young.  The guy from Ernst Young was actually a graduate from APP and took us al to this very nice dinner and after a few of us plus him went to the bar and had a few drinks and took a taxi home.  This was a very long day

We woke up around 7 and had to meet in the classroom to go over the events for the day and go over the subway system.  We were at the Gakushuin College pretty much all day watching them to flower arrangements and calligraphy.  By the time we got home it was about 530 and some of us went out to the bar called the Hub and ate and drank a few.  Im pretty tired to im off to bed

5-17-09

So today we woke up at 445 in the AM took a train to Taiwans airport and oh by the way i lost my train ticket so i had to buy one.  Then on the plane i found it in my wallet...ya i know im an idiot.  We took off to tokyo and about 5 hours later we checked in to Olympic center in Tokyo, Japan.

5-16-09

-Well today i woke up around 1030 and went and ate a bagel after a looooong night...then i took a shower took some advil and went to my massage with 10 others.  We broke up into 2 groups of 10 one went at 12 the other went at 2.  My group went at 2 and let me tell you that was an experiance.  I dont know how to explain it other than it tickled more than anything i have ever done and today my body feels like i just fought mike tyson going 20 rounds.  They rub deep and hard and slap and beat your body...I'm not sure if it hurt or felt good but ill let you know in a couple days haha.  Then afterwards went to have a farewell dinner at the top of a building nice view good food all the beer and wine you needed but couldnt drink cause of the night before.  Then went home and packed and 10 minutes of oceans 11 before me sally and jenna passed out from being so exhausted.  Off to Tokyo tomorrow.

Today was the longest day we have had yet and its not over...We had to be on the bus at 630 AM to go 3 hours away to visit AVG Beverage company.  We had a business meeting there till 1230 and had lunch with the business partners there.  I got my dad a business card because they are trying to market their drink in the USA but don't have anyone to help them so...we'll see how that goes.  They are the largest bev. company in Japan and Taiwan.  Then we left and drove about 20 minutes to another college to meet up with our pin-pales and excahnge gifts and try some food.  I got a coffeemug with their colleges logo on it from Rachel and my other pin-pale didn't show up..probably because he is a PHD student and he had to perform an operation or something crazy.  

By then it was about 530 and we stopped on the way home to eat and left dinner by 7 and got home around 930...and now i'm sitting here writing this.  About to go get a shower and head to downtown to the bars with everyone.  We have a free day tomorrow and am getting a massage at 2 and its last TWO hours so its going to be amazing...

So i woke up at 7 this morning and went and ate breakfast...then we headed for the subway and went to a company visit with he company called JOY.  They are a english company who teach children english.  They are the biggest english teaching company in the world.  After that we went back to the hotel and changed and went to the college in downtown Taiwan and met up with college students to discuss the case study we both have been studying.  We talked about it with our group and then had a class discussion for about 2 hours.  

After we got done talking about our case we learned how to do calligraphy and then had free time aand by then it was about 6 pm.  After that we went back to change and a group of us went to Taipei 101....THE WORLDS LARGEST BUILDING.  We took the elevator up to the 91 floor which took only 30 seconds and it might have been one of the coolest things i have ever done.  When we got up there it was an unbelievable sight to see.  One of the coolest, but had no camera so...ya

Well its the 5th day since i've been in Taiwan and its been adventurous. Today we went to see the Presidents house...kind of like our White House. We toured the downstairs only, which was in the blazing hot sun and heat, by the way. That took about 2-3 hours and then we went to a coffee shop and reviewed our case study that we will be discussing with Taiwan students tomorrow afternoon. After we got done discussing that we went to the karoke club and sang and had some drinks, just had a fun time. Just got done eating pizza hut in the hotel with 3 of my fellow students. See ya'll tomorrow

Well, 

today we went about 30 minutes away to see where they make pottery and how they make it.  We actually got to make something and keep it.  I made a flower pot cause that is just want mine ended up looking like by the end so i just went with it....

Then we headed for a Hot Springs and Spa resort, where there we relaxed, sat in the steam room, sauna, and hot tubs.  It was amazing because it was outside and we were surrounded by big mountains, palm trees, and beautiful weather.  It was breathtaking to say the least, honestly.

Well see what tomorrow brings...

well, today we went to a market about an hour away which was awesome, and you could barrgin for prices.  While walking through there we smelled some pretty awful smells and also were bombarded with Taiwanese people.  There were so many people there it wasnt even fair.  Then we went to Funlong beach.  We stayed there from 1-5 pm and it was awesome.  I could of stayed there forever.  It was an awesome beach with mountains surrounding it and the water about 85 degrees, volleyball courts right there and all the beer you wanted.  It was amazing, it felt like paradise.....

So I have been in Taiwan for a full day now...im pretty damn tired.  Woke up at 7, went to eat, got on the bus to go get a make-over and try on customs from a loooong time ago.  We dressed up in king and queen outfits and took pictures and monday we get an album that will be profesionally done, so im kinda anxious about what that will look like.  Then we ate lunch, and went to a Museum that was quit boring, like all museums.  

Just took a shower and am in the lobby checking email, blogspot, and facebook....about to go get a beer
